MIDNITE COLLECTIVE's COMMUNION II "OUT OF THE WOODS"

My finished submission for COMMUNION II: "OUT OF THE WOODS" by MIDNITE COLLECTIVE. This piece along with an original shirt design for LOCUSTA and the original cover artwork for WOODS OF DESOLATION's "AS THE STARS" were on view this weekend in LA. The show featured the work of Mike Lawrence, Shaun Beaudry, Krist Mort, Farron Loathing, Jean Saiz, View From the Coffin, and Sebastian Mazuera, with performances by SORXE, COUGH, ATRIARCH, and INVDRS. Unfortunately I was unable to attend but I find it hard to image that the event wasn't an amazing time.

KADAVAR North American tour shirt design

Recently finished shirt design for the German band KADAVAR. I was really excited to work on this design when the band approached me about the commission. Its always nice to get the occasional commission that calls for color, and the room for experimentation with digital color is definitely a lot of fun to play around with, but here is the design that they liked the most for a black shirt option. Kadavar will be going on tour in the U.S. starting this March and going until May. I am definitely looking forward to seeing them in New York this April. CROSS VAULT cover artwork: "SPECTRES OF REVOCABLE LOSS"

Cover artwork for the German doom metal band CROSS VAULT. This illustration was inspired by a scene from George Orwell's 1984. Working from a book (especially one that has already been translated into a movie) can be difficult, but this being a story that when i first read, i had such vivid imagery in my head of what the world that the characters live in must look like, i was very excited to attempt to render the dystopian scape that Orwell constructs for his readers. WIP: THE DEVILS CONGERIES cover art series for NUNSLAUGHTER.

I recently finished the 8th (and second to last) cover design for NUNSLAUGHTER's compilation series THE DEVILS CONGERIES. Before this i had never received such a large commission at one time. It has been an amazing experience to work on such a large body of work, with a continuous narrative. The actual albums may not finish coming out for a number of years, but it has been a little over a year since i received the commission, and although it has been challenging, working with these guys was definitely a great way to start the last year and wrapping it all up will hopefully be a good way to start the new one.

"PENTHOS" cover artwork for AGELESS OBLIVION

Cover artwork for the English death metal band AGELESS OBLIVION for their upcoming album "PENTHOS. This was the first time i have had the pleasure of working on an entire album design/layout, consisting of a front and back cover, album inlay design as well as a cd emblem/design. The album artwork is directly inspired by the title/album concept of PENTHOS, the greek deity of loss and sorrow, and how both are necessary human emotions. Its always great to be given mythological concepts to work with and i had a lot of fun working on all of the designs for this album. WOODS OF DESOLATION album artwork for "AS THE STARS"

Recently finished album artwork for WOODS OF DESOLATION's upcoming album "AS THE STARS". The album is set to release on February 14th 2014 by NORTHERN SILENCE PRODUCTIONS. This is the first project in a very long time that required me to hand color an illustration and although there was a slight adjustment at first, i had a lot of fun working on this album cover and am very glad i got to use watercolor again for something. Several current projects im working on require black and white paint, but hopefully it wont be long until another project calls for watercolor. NUNSLAUGHTER cover artwork THE DEVILS CONGERIES VOL. I

This is the first design in an extensive series of work for NUNSLAUGHTER. THE DEVILS CONGERIES VOL. I is composed of NunSlaughter 7" splits and 7" live releases. I am very excited to finally be posting the first design for this project which will roughly span one year. More progress updates and finished work posts to come in the near future!

My first ever back patch design for LOCUSTA.  When the band approached me about doing a back patch, not only was i excited to work on my first patch, but also to work on hand lettering an already beautiful logo by the ridiculously talented "Lord of the Logo's", Christophe Szpajdel. DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT poster design

New poster design for an upcoming DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT show in Liverpool. Although for  obvious reasons i wont be able to attend the show, I am very excited to get to do the poster for such and awesome lineup, and also to able to work with color for the first time in a while.

GHOUL/MANIAXE!!! shirt design

Along with pre orders for the album, this MANIAXE!!! shirt will be available at Tankcrimes starting tomorrow afternoon. This design the last page of the comic, and happens to be one of my favorites. More details about the edition i will be having made of the comics to come in the near future!
