Album illustrations for SHAWN JAMES' "The Dark and The Light"

I am incredibly excited to finally be revealing the front and back cover illustrations for SHAWN JAMES' new album "THE DARK AND THE LIGHT". When I first met Shawn at one of his NYC shows after working with him on the shirt design, he informed me that he would have a new album coming out soon, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with him again and offered my services. Pictured above are the front and back cover illustrations but I will also be working on the interior illustrations for the vinyl release in which I will be interpreting each song individually. As I have previously mentioned, Shawns music is very different from the bands and artists that I usually work with but the same aesthetics and inspirations that I employ in my work are abundantly present in his own. I highly recommend this album to pretty much anyone regardless of your musical taste, it probably has something for you. The album will be released on March 22nd 2019 on Parts and Labor Records.

Here is a look at my recently finished illustration for SHAWN JAMES. Shawn was an absolute pleasure to work with on this piece, which is inspired by one of my favorite songs of his "Delilah" I recently attended his NYC show on his last solo tour which was incredible to say the least. I believe this design will be used for a shirt for his full band project SHAWN JAMES AND THE SHAPESHIFTERS and will be printed later on in the year!

Shirt designs for MARYLAND DEATHFEST XIV/2016

Once again I am completely honored to have done one of this years shirt designs for MARYLAND DEATHFEST! The shirts will be available in all of the colors pictured above as well as hoodies. "SERPENTS" screen prints set and individual prints now available!

Pictured above, from top to bottom, "Rubedo", Jormungandr", and "Ouroboros" prints are all 8" x 10" silkscreen prints, hand signed and numbered, available both individually and as a set at a discounted rate. These pieces were all included in a series of work for my first solo show in 2014 "Apocrypha" at The Cotton Candy Machine in Brooklyn.

Here are the final versions of my design for MARYLAND DEATHFEST XIII. These will be printed at an edition of 250, half of which will be in color and half in black and white. Pre orders for this will be available on their site shortly. 

"DANSE MACABRE" New piece now on view at GRISTLE TATTOO & ART GALLERY

This is a new piece of mine "DANSE MACABRE" for the "ILLUSTRATED DEATH" group show currently on view over at GRISTLE TATTOO & ART GALLERY. This piece is an interpretation of the themes of traditional Danse Macabre images, along with several other aspects of life, death, and their cyclical relationship to one another that I feel are common aspects of my work in general. New gatefold design in progress.

I have been working on this gatefold design for a little over a month at this point. I have just finished the underpainting and am moving on to coloring it in. Its always great to have the opportunity to switch things up a bit with color, and especially with hand rendered color at that. I will be posting another hand colored illustration that I recently completed along with more details about this gatefold design.

APOCRYPHA November 22nd - December 6th at THE COTTON CANDY MACHINE

Here are a few of the new pieces that will be on display at THE COTTON CANDY MACHINE November 22nd thorugh December 6th for my show "APOCRYPHA" These pieces focus on the mythological influence in art and the shared imagery and symbols of different religions and belief systems. The show will be in the back space of the gallery and the front space will be showing "NEW MAPS OF THE ABYSS" by the incredible ARIK ROPER and THE ART OF SKINNER. It has been a fun and exciting challenge to make preparations for the show and an excellent learning experience. The show will consist of several new works and several original commissioned works for bands like DRAGGED INTO SUNLIGHT, and KADAVAR and the gallery will also be unveiling a brand new piece by LORI NELSON on the opening night, 7-11 pm.

MIDNITE COLLECTIVE's COMMUNION II "OUT OF THE WOODS"

My finished submission for COMMUNION II: "OUT OF THE WOODS" by MIDNITE COLLECTIVE. This piece along with an original shirt design for LOCUSTA and the original cover artwork for WOODS OF DESOLATION's "AS THE STARS" were on view this weekend in LA. The show featured the work of Mike Lawrence, Shaun Beaudry, Krist Mort, Farron Loathing, Jean Saiz, View From the Coffin, and Sebastian Mazuera, with performances by SORXE, COUGH, ATRIARCH, and INVDRS. Unfortunately I was unable to attend but I find it hard to image that the event wasn't an amazing time.

New shirt design for AGELESS OBLIVION. The design is based off of my interpretation of the Hindu deity Mahakali, goddess of time and death,

ABYSSAL tour poster design

Recently finished poster design for the Mexican doom metal band ABYSSAL. I really enjoyed inking this piece and had actually been wanting to draw something with a hairy angler so I was very pleasantly surprised when the band said that it was the only specification they had.

LEGACY OF THOR prints still available!

After having so many people inquire about screen prints of this, I had an edition made up by my good friend and amazing illustrator MIKE LAWRENCE. It has been an amazing event every time I have gone and I am greatly looking forward to next years lineup, getting to hang out with great friends from all over the country and meeting incredible artists!
